The BOP heating station is located in the production control area of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant and primarily functions to supply heating hot water and domestic hot water. It includes key equipment such as a steam distribution header, district heating network heater, condensate tank, water-to-water preheater, hot water heater, domestic hot water return pump, condensate pump, and electric valves.

The primary task of the BOP heating station's instrumentation and control system is to ensure the safe and stable operation of the heating station, reduce the workload of operators, enhance thermal efficiency, minimize energy consumption, and achieve cost-effective operations—while also making the system user-friendly and easy to integrate into production management.

The BOP heating station originally used a PLC from Schneider's Modicon Quantum series for its control system. However, in recent years, vulnerabilities in the information security of this PLC series have been exposed. Our company’s NA400 PLC features fully independent R&D in both hardware and software, incorporating domestically produced processors and the open-source LINUX operating system. Additionally, we’ve integrated advanced cybersecurity measures tailored to meet specific network security requirements, significantly enhancing the system’s information protection capabilities. After completion, the system successfully passed the classified protection assessment on the first attempt, earning high praise and recognition from the Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant. Moving forward, we plan to gradually transition peripheral equipment such as air conditioning and fire protection systems at nuclear power plants to domestically developed control systems.
