The two CPU modules continuously back up data to each other via a high-speed redundant cable. The primary CPU executes the program and simultaneously backs up data to the secondary CPU in real time. When the primary CPU fails, the secondary CPU can automatically take over as the primary unit, ensuring that system operation remains unaffected.
