In late November 2013, Nanjing Aoto Technology, a well-known domestic PLC brand manufacturer, conducted PLC technology training on its RTU product—used for pumping unit control units—targeting both its technical partners and relevant staff from Shengli Oilfield. This marked the entry of Nanjing Aoto's NA series products into a multi-domain pilot phase for application in projects associated with Shengli Oilfield.

In March 2013, Nanda Aotuo Technology stood out among numerous suppliers with its stable and reliable product quality, as well as its flexible customization services, earning a spot to sign a strategic framework agreement with Shengli Oilfield. As a result, Nanda Aotuo Technology became a strategic supplier of automation control products for Shengli Oilfield. Subsequently, Nanda Aotuo Technology entered into supply contracts with several technical service providers serving Shengli Oilfield, while also deploying a dedicated customer support team on-site to provide robust assistance. The company’s products were piloted in multiple key experimental zones within Shengli Oilfield—areas focused on the "Four Modernizations" initiative: standardized design, modular construction, standardized procurement, and信息化提升 (information-based enhancement). The NA series products from Nanda Aotuo Technology are prominently applied in Shengli Oilfield, including applications such as the oilfield water injection station monitoring system, the oilfield heater control system, and high-performance pumping unit control and data acquisition systems.
The oilfield water injection station is a critical operational link designed to compensate for the decline in formation pressure during oil production, employing water injection techniques to maintain reservoir pressure and sustain efficient oil extraction. Meanwhile, the transfer station—also known as an oil gathering station—is the primary transit point in the oil collection and transportation system. Its main task is to receive crude oil from individual wells, well clusters, or metering stations, followed by processing steps such as crude oil dehydration, removal of mechanical impurities, gas-liquid separation, and crude oil stabilization.
The Nanda Aotuo NA400 mid-sized PLC has been successfully deployed in a pilot program at the oilfield water injection station monitoring system within a benchmark demonstration block of low-permeability reservoirs at Shengli Oilfield. These systems demand 24-hour continuous and reliable operation. Under these stringent new standards, the Nanda Aotuo Technology NA400 series PLC has stood out thanks to its exceptional cost-effectiveness, comprehensive system functionality, open application platform, and robust system compatibility—factors that have significantly contributed to Shengli Oilfield's "Four Modernizations" initiative and earned widespread praise from customers.

Oilfield heating furnaces are one of the critical pieces of equipment in oilfield exploration and development, especially as China's eastern oilfields have largely entered the high-water-cut stage, alongside the growing development of heavy oil and natural gas. As the scale of oil and gas field exploration and development expands—and with it, the increasing complexity of operations—there is a rising demand for more heating furnaces in oilfield applications. These furnace control systems must operate continuously around the clock, often under harsh outdoor conditions, placing extremely high demands on product reliability. Thanks to its outstanding quality, Nantai Aoto’s NA200 PLC has earned widespread acclaim. It has already been extensively piloted and applied across multiple sub-blocks within a benchmark demonstration area for low-permeability reservoirs at Shengli Oilfield, including heating furnaces installed at individual wells, transfer stations, and metering stations.

Based on the specific requirements of high-performance pumping unit control and data acquisition, Nanjing Aoto has custom-developed a dedicated pumping unit control unit product (RTU) built on a PLC architecture. This RTU handles key functions for each pumping unit, including data collection, dynamometer measurement, control, and protection—serving as the core unit for the lower-level machines.
Nanda Aotuo's RTU product, custom-developed for Shengli Oilfield, has already been deployed in a low-permeability oilfield demonstration zone within Shengli Oilfield, as well as at a Shengli Oilfield-affiliated oil production plant located in Xinjiang. Situated south of Karamay City in Xinjiang, this oil production facility operates in a typical western environment characterized by extremely high summer temperatures and frigid winter conditions—recently experiencing outdoor highs of up to 44°C and lows as low as -42°C, posing a severe challenge to the product's performance.
The product will also soon be piloted on a large scale in a 232,000-ton offshore oil-to-land production demonstration block at the Shengli Oilfield. This block is a key new offshore production project developed during Shengli Oilfield's "12th Five-Year Plan" period and is recognized as one of the nation's high-quality engineering oilfield areas. The block is situated in a typical offshore environment characterized by high temperature, high humidity, and high salinity, making it an extremely challenging testbed for the product's performance.

The Shengli Oilfield is China's second-largest oil production base. The "Four Modernizations"—standardized design, modular construction, standardized procurement, and information-driven enhancement—are key initiatives driving the oilfield's significant improvements in production management and operational efficiency. Against this backdrop, Nanda Aotuo Technology has piloted its products in high-quality national engineering projects within the oilfield sector, demonstrating remarkable potential not only for enhancing Nanda Aotuo's brand image and expanding its market presence but also for helping industrial control enterprises accelerate the upgrading and development of China's petroleum industry.
