Aotuo Technology and Guoxin Technology have formed a strategic partnership to jointly advance the application of the edge computing chip CCP1080T in high-end industrial control PLC systems.

Recently, Aotuo Technology and Suzhou Guoxin Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Guoxin Technology") have reached a strategic cooperation agreement, building on their jointly undertaken Jiangsu Province science and technology achievement transformation project titled "R&D and Industrialization of Industrial Control Processors and Industrial Control Systems." Guided by the principles of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, and mutual win-win collaboration," the two companies will jointly promote the application of Guoxin Technology's edge computing chips in Aotuo Technology's high-end industrial control programmable logic controller (PLC) systems.

 

The industrial controller is a fundamental core component of industrial control systems, serving as a critical technology in the manufacturing sector. It is also a strategic technology for China’s industrial upgrading, forming the common and foundational technology essential for achieving the integration of "two modernizations" and supporting the implementation of "Made in China 2025." An industrial programmable logic controller (PLC) is essentially a specialized computer designed specifically for industrial control applications, acting as the central core of industrial control systems. Crucially, the master control computing chips required for PLCs urgently need to be localized and domestically produced. If major national infrastructure projects continue to rely heavily on imported PLC chips from foreign suppliers, it will become impossible to ensure independent technological self-sufficiency. Not only would this leave China technologically dependent on others, but it would also undermine robust cybersecurity measures, exposing critical systems to significant security risks.

 

Guoxin Technology, addressing the unique characteristics of industrial control systems, has been tackling key technological challenges in industrial control computing chips—focusing on high performance, high reliability, enhanced security, and real-time capabilities. Based on a 64-bit PowerPC instruction-set architecture CPU processor, Guoxin has developed the dual-core CCP1080T chip, which delivers exceptional performance, robust security, and dependable operation for edge computing applications. This chip supports domestic cryptographic algorithms such as SM2, SM3, and SM4, as well as internationally recognized encryption standards like AES, RSA, and SHA. It features a high-performance DDR4 memory interface and includes eight high-speed Serdes channels that can be flexibly repurposed into multiple PCIe 3.0 interfaces, several SATA 3.0 hard-drive transmission ports, and multiple Gigabit network accelerator interfaces. Additionally, the chip provides SD/EMMC and NAND Flash storage interfaces, along with USB 3.0 expansion ports and low-speed interfaces such as IIC, SPI, and UART. The CCP1080T chip is ideally suited for applications in industrial control PLC systems and other related fields.

 

Aoto Technology will leverage the CCP1080T chip to conduct functional research and solution development for high-end industrial control programmable logic controller (PLC) systems. The company will also develop PLC programming software and an integrated development environment based on the international IEC61131-3 standard, all backed by its own proprietary intellectual property rights. Furthermore, Aoto Technology aims to achieve industrial-scale applications of these products, driving the adoption of high-end industrial control PLC systems powered by the CCP1080T chip in industries such as rail transit, water resources, power utilities, and municipal engineering.

 

Aotuo Technology and Guoxin Technology have formed a strategic partnership that will fully leverage Guoxin Technology's expertise in edge computing chip design, combined with Aotuo Technology's proprietary, independently developed programmable controller (PLC) technology. Together, they will jointly advance technical research and applications of edge computing chips in industrial programmable controllers (PLCs), seamlessly integrating edge computing capabilities with PLC functionality. This collaboration is dedicated to developing cutting-edge industrial control products for China—products that are domestically controlled, highly reliable, superior in quality, and technologically advanced—meeting the urgent needs of China's industrial manufacturing sector as it undergoes intelligent transformation and upgrading. Ultimately, the partnership aims to achieve full domestic production, from core control CPU chips and operating systems all the way to programming software, thereby breaking foreign technological monopolies and enabling the widespread adoption of domestically produced alternatives.
