Nanjing Aotuo's domestically produced PLC, characterized by "self-reliance and controllability," breaks new ground in subway BAS systems—The report on the online testing and operation of Qingdao Metro's domestically developed PLC-based subway BAS system, along with the expert review meeting, was successfully held.

On August 10, 2019, the successful report meeting on the operational status of Qingdao Metro's domestically produced PLC-based BAS system, along with an expert review session, was held in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao. The event was hosted by Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd., and jointly organized by Nanjing Aoto Jiangsu Technology Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Tieke Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.

  On August 10, 2019, the successful report meeting on the online testing and operation of Qingdao Metro's domestically produced PLC-based BAS system, jointly organized by Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Nanda Aoto Jiangsu Technology Co., Ltd. and Qingdao Tieke Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., was held in the beautiful coastal city of Qingdao.

  A panel of experts, comprising nine specialists from organizations including the China Urban Rail Transit Association, Shanghai Shentong Metro Co., Ltd., Beijing Rail Transit Construction & Management Co., Ltd., Nanjing Metro Group Co., Ltd., Guiyang Rail Transit Co., Ltd., Shenyang Metro Group Co., Ltd., Xi'an Metro Group Co., Ltd., China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., and China Railway Second Institute Engineering Group Co., Ltd., was formed. Ms. Mou Zhenying, Senior Engineer and Executive Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Shentong Metro Co., Ltd., served as the panel chairperson, while Mr. Luo Qingping, Deputy Chief Engineer of Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd., chaired the meeting. Representatives from Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd.’s Equipment Management Department, Chief Engineer’s Office, Operations Division, Construction Division, and Financial Control Company, as well as from companies such as Nanda Aotuo Jiangsu Co., Ltd., Qingdao Tieke Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., China Railway First Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd., China Railway Second Institute Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Qingdao Hisense Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Provincial Urban Rail Transit Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd., also attended the meeting.

  Core technology is a nation's most vital asset. In recent years, the country has placed great emphasis on independent innovation in core technologies and products, elevating the goal of achieving "domestic production, self-reliance, security, and controllability" in critical technological fields to the strategic level of national security development. Currently, amid escalating international disputes and frequent industrial control security incidents, fostering independent innovation and advancing domestic production have become imperative. Consequently, the demand for domestically produced core controllers in the rail transit industry is growing increasingly evident. To align with the national strategy of promoting domestic production and ensuring "self-reliance, security, and controllability," Qingdao Metro Group Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Nanda Aoto Technology Jiangsu Co., Ltd., has taken the lead in conducting application research on domestically developed large-scale PLCs within the metro BAS control system. This initiative lays a solid foundation for realizing the localization and self-sufficiency of key equipment in the metro BAS system. From March 20, 2019, to July 3, 2019, Nanda Aoto’s domestically produced PLC was successfully integrated into the BAS system at Aoshanwan Station on Qingdao Metro Line 11, operating smoothly for over three months. The successful implementation of this pilot project firmly demonstrates that Nanda Aoto’s domestically developed PLC not only meets but exceeds the operational requirements of the metro BAS system in terms of stability and reliability. This breakthrough not only breaks the monopoly of foreign brands in critical industrial control equipment for urban rail transit but also marks a significant milestone, paving the way for the development of "self-reliant, secure, and controllable" core products.

  The expert panel carefully listened to the test plan, operational status, and acceptance results of Qingdao Metro's domestically produced PLC-based BAS system during its online testing phase, and subsequently provided positive feedback. They concluded that "the stability and reliability of Nanda Aotuo's domestically produced PLC products have been successfully verified during the online operation period, fully meeting the operational requirements of the metro's BAS system. At the same time, this represents an active exploration toward accelerating the adoption of independent PLC products in the metro industry, paving the way for broader implementation and application."

  Wang Biao, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Urban Rail Transit Association, remarked in his concluding remarks: "As the nation's first PLC from Nanda Aoto's NA series—specifically designed for subway environmental control systems and boasting a complete set of independently owned intellectual property rights—this groundbreaking product has not only shattered the technological barriers imposed by foreign countries but also filled the critical gap in the domestic market for high-end, domestically produced controllers used in subway BAS systems. In doing so, it has significantly contributed to advancing the localization of core technologies in China's rail transit sector. Qingdao Metro Group, as the leading organization responsible for implementing this project, has demonstrated remarkable responsibility, deep commitment, and visionary leadership—truly deserving of recognition!"

  The representatives from Nanjing Aoto Technology Jiangsu Co., Ltd. stated at the meeting: "Ten years of sharpening our skills—today, we finally draw our swords."
