Product Features
Standard PROFIBUS-DP slave interface: DP-V0/V1 protocol, compliant with IEC61158 and the Chinese national standard GB/T20540-2006: Part 3—Fieldbus for Industrial Control Systems Using Digital Data Communication in Measurement and Control;
The baud rate is adjustable, with a maximum baud rate of 12M.
The maximum number of such slave stations that can be connected to a Profibus bus is 30.
Maximum expansion I/O modules: 32-point DI/32-point DO modules ≤ 32 units; 16-point AI modules ≤ 7 units; 4-point AO modules ≤ 7 units;
Smart module with powerful self-diagnostic capabilities—when a fault occurs during module operation, it can automatically reset and restart. Its unique data security output function further enhances the control device’s safety features.
Comprehensive LED indicators: comprehensive LED indicators for power, module activation, module operation, faults, PROFIBUS bus operation, and faults;
Supports hot-swapping.
Module hardware setup and external interfaces
1. DP slave address code switch
The module provides two decimal rotary coding switches, S1 and S2. The DP slave address is calculated as S1 × 1 + S2 × 10; please set the correct address before powering on.
2. Two DIP switches K1 and K2
K1: Reserved for system use; used for firmware updates. Before powering on and running the module, please ensure that K1 is in the OFF position.
K2: Bus cable 120-ohm termination resistor selection switch—In the OFF position, the termination resistor is not connected; in the ON position, the termination resistor is connected.
3. DP communication interface
DP-S: Standard SUBDB9 female connector; the pin definitions are shown in the table below:

Note: The NC table is not connected.
Due to limitations in physical and electrical performance, the maximum number of this module that can be connected to a Profibus bus is 30. Please take this limitation into account when configuring your system. If the number of slave stations must exceed 30, please add a Profibus repeater device.
